The TSBPE Board rules requires that a Plumbing Inspector be affiliated with and paid directly by a City or Political Subdivision in order to perform plumbing inspections. To check an Inspector’s current affiliation, follow these steps:
- Visit our Public License Search and search by either the Inspector’s Name or License Number.
- Once you’ve found the Inspector you’re looking for, click on their name to go to the “License/Registration Details” page
- Look for the “Primary Political Subdivision” section about halfway down the page.
- The Inspector’s current affiliation is listed under “Related Party Name”
NOTE: If an expected change in affiliation is not indicated here, the request is still processing. A properly submitted affiliation change request will be processed within 5-7 business days.
If you are an authorized representative of a City or Political Subdivision with the authority to change/update or add an Inspector affiliation, please fill out the form below using a valid political subdivision or city email address. Requests made via any other method will not be processed.
A Plumbing Inspector’s unaffiliated status will not affect renewal if the licensee has satisfied all other renewal requirements under the Board Rules. However, the Board may continue to withhold the licensee’s pocket card until proof of affiliation is provided. Note that a Plumbing Inspector shall notify the Board of each political subdivision the Plumbing Inspector is employed by, or has contracted with, for the purposes of performing plumbing inspections and any changes in contract or employment status within thirty (30) days of status change.
