AN IMPORTANT UPDATE FROM THE TSBPE – If you or someone you work with is planning to take an examination administered by the TSBPE in the future, please read this communication carefully.
As part of the TSBPE’s ongoing roll out of fingerprint requirements, all TSBPE exam applicants will be required to submit fingerprint data beginning January 1, 2022. Many applicants have already fulfilled this requirement, for those that haven’t, the specifics of how it will be implemented are detailed below.
What’s happening?
Beginning January 1, 2022, the fingerprint requirement, mandated as part of House Bill 636, will apply to any person wishing to take a TSBPE-administered examination.
How’s this going to work?
Any exam application received after January 1, 2022 will remain open and unscheduled until the exam candidate’s fingerprint data has been received by the TSBPE.
Will I be notified if my exam application is held up for failure to submit my fingerprints?
As with any application deficiency, the TSBPE posts relevant information to the Online Licensing System. No additional notification will be provided.
How do I take care of this IMMEDIATELY?
Review these instructions and make a plan now to take care of this straightforward, one-time obligation.
